Donald Trump is an American business... More is an American businessman, media personality, and politician who served as the 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021. Born on June 14, 1946, in Queens, New York, he inherited his family’s real estate business and expanded it into a global brand under the Trump Organization, becoming known for luxury properties, casinos, and reality television, particularly as the host of The Apprentice.
Trump entered politics as a Republican and ran a populist, nationalist campaign focused on immigration, trade, and “America First” policies. His 2016 victory against Hillary Clinton was one of the most surprising in U.S. history, fueled by strong support from working-class voters and a rejection of establishment politics. As president, he pursued tax cuts, deregulation, a hardline stance on immigration, and a combative foreign policy, including confrontations with China and North Korea.
His tenure was marked by controversy, including two impeachments—first over alleged pressure on Ukraine to investigate political rivals, and second for inciting the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot. His handling of the COVID-19 pandemic and refusal to accept the 2020 election results led to deep national divisions. After losing to Joe Biden, Trump continued to claim election fraud without evidence, a stance that remains central to his political influence.
Despite leaving office, Trump remains a dominant force in American politics, with significant support within the Republican Party. His legacy is defined by his unconventional leadership style, polarizing policies, and reshaping of conservative politics in the United States.
